If I could give a 4.5/5 that would probably be closer to how good this dishwasher is. What it does well is get dishes clean which in the end is what you want. On that front the bottom and top racks are great and offer enough space. Despite not being a full size machine it works well for our family of 4 and we end up washing a few larger dishes by hand which maybe would have fit into a 24 inch unit. That's a really only a minor inconvenience. The regular program takes around 2.5 hours and I haven't seen any need to use other programs such as the automatic or heavy settings. Even for heavily soiled dishes, the regular program cleans pretty much perfectly. The machine is also virtually silent which is pretty nice. The only issues I have noticed are that the 3rd rack is not really 100% effective at cleaning cutlery. It's not really a surprise being right at the top of the machine and having no sprayer arms directly beneath it. The water has to bypass whatever is on the 2nd rack and sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. The result is that occasionally a fork, spoon or knife won't come out clean but it's not a big deal. About 95% of what you put in the 3rd rack does come out clean and it buys you space in the bottom rack so you don't need to deal with a cutlery/utensil basket and have more room which is good, especially in an 18 inch machine. The other thing which isn't perfect is that tupperware and plastic lids don't really come out dry. It's pretty good at drying overall, especially if you arrange the dishes at an angle. I'd say 90% are dry but for tupperware it's less. I don't know of many machines where things come out bone dry so this doesn't really count against it and is a minor inconvenience. Overall, this is a great machine and we're super happy to have it.

So far the dishwasher is working fine. The dishes and cutlery coming out very clean, no spotting. This replaced another Bosch dishwasher that also performed well for 9+ years. But I was disappointed with the Bosch customer service when I was trying to repair that one. I'm not a big fan of the upper cutlery tray. It slightly reduces the height of the two main trays, and as a result the upper tray is not deep enough to hold some of my taller cups. And I have to load full size plates carefully on the lower tray to avoid interfering with the spinning spray arm.

The excellent little dishwasher that could!

Top-of-the-line Bosch appliances never dissapoint. Installation was as easy as any other dishwasher, clear instructions and all hardware was provided. The unit really does a fantastic job at cleaning even the toughest and stickiest food remains. Even for a small 18" dishwasher, this thing packs 3 (yes, THREE) rack drawers! You can even adjust the middle one higher or lower to fit taller items. By having a top drawer only for silverware, you can use more space on the bottom drawers for plates, bowls and cooking ware. The unit is very quiet, and can be fully controlled from the Home Connect app. The resistor-less drying feature is amazing (meaning, there is no heating element on this unit) and works really good. Some plastic topaware might still drip a little bit, particularly lids with lots of undulations, but my electric bill hasn't even noticed I run this thing every night. I much rather have more useable space inside the dishwasher than having heating elements for drying. I have 0 complaints on the functionally and dishwashing results of this unit, and very impressived with the performance of this little guy. It is a premum product with a premium price tag, but if within your budget, this unit will NOT dissapoint anyone. One of my favorite features is the Delay Start. I will set it to the cleaning cycle starts after 11pm, during electric off-peak rates, so the impact on my bill is literally negligible. In my personal opinion, there are only 3 silly things where this unit lags a little bit: 1. The front panel interface has a lot of buttons, but there is no actual "cancel" button. There is only a "Pause" button. If you accidentically start the wrong program, you have to force RESET and restart the unit (a simple restart wont do). Seems a bit excessive having to press and hold the "STOP" button for 5seconds (force RESET) just to cancel a cycle. For what its worth, this was only an issue the first few hours I used the unit, as I was just trying to get familiar with the interface. Now, I just go to "Auto", "Heavy" or "Half Load" and then "Start". 2. When a cleaning cycle is complete, there is no message or LED or notification whatsoever on the front panel. The unit simply shuts off. This can be somewhat confusing at times. With mulitple people in the house, you cant really know for sure if the current dishes are clean or dirty without having to open the dishwasher and checking for yourself. 3. There are quite a few more settings and options available if you use the app. You can select hot water temperature, water cleaning pressure, how much rinse aid to use and a few other things, but only through the app. The app also gives you a notification when the cycle is complete. I guess this could be to incentivize the use of the app, but honestly, this is just a dishwasher. You put dirty dishes on it, detergent, and then Start. Doesnt have to be more complicated than that.

I downsized this year and wanted small appliances. This dishwasher is so quiet, you need to check the lights on the settings to see if it is running. I love the short cycle, especially for one person. Glad I selected the Bosch with up front settings.

We tried in 2021 to buy a Bosch dishwasher to replace an older one that we were not using any longer. The product was not available so we postponed the installation to this year (2022). After installing the model 800 Bosch we very amazed how quiet the washing cycle is. We like the third tray and how much we can load for and 18" model. It is using very little water which is also remarkable.

I had to buy the 18 inch dishwasher as opposed to full size due to space constraints. My friends told me, "it's not worth it. It's too small". Boy were they wrong. I love the dishwasher. It's quiet and cleans well. Two issues though, it doesn't dry my plastic dishes well. Also, half the time my bowls flip over and fill with dirty water. Wish there were more teeth on the shelves to prevent this. I feel like I have to be an engineer scientist to fill the dishwasher do dishes don't flip mid cycle.

Perfect for my small space!

This is the second Bosch dishwasher that I have owned and I am very pleased with this smaller model that fits in my galley kitchen. I am amazed at how many items I can fit into each load. It is VERY quiet and a typical load is complete in 2 hours. I have to do minimal touch up drying on more oddly shaped pieces. Very hapy with this purchase and would highly recommend!

I purchased my dishwasher in Feb. and waited 4 months for it to come in. I does a wonderful job cleaning everything I put in it. It is so quiet if I am inches away from it, I can barely hear it running. I was disappointed when it arrived with a dented door. I purchased it at Lowe's Home Improvement which is the only thing I am disappointed about. They gave me a $100 gift card to cover the 3 very noticeable dents on the door of the dishwasher. Not nearly enough, but that's on their poor customer service. I'll purchase a magnet to cover it up.
