I had an older and slightly better version of this 5000 btu AC. It worked perfectly and drained water outside as air conditioners do. Why does this one not drain? It's filled with water!!! I'm afraid it will short out! I'm not happy at all!

I am extremely pleased with my new window air conditioner. My Mini split died the end of June, just before the weather got extremely hot. Temps inside my house were in the high 80's. Every repairman I called was swamped. I decided to get a window air conditioner to help until I could get my mini split repaired. This Frigidaire window unit worked great. It cooled my bedroom down quickly. With the help of portable fans, I was able to redirect the cooler air thru out my entire 1000 sq ft ranch style home. This little machine literally saved my life. I am in Stage 3 - Kidney Disease. Due to the extreme heat, I had become dehydrated to the point my Dr was becoming concerned for my health and well being. This little machine probably kept me from being admitted to the hospital. Thank you- Frigidaire!!!

We bought this A/C to fit in a small LR window. It works really well, cools our 250 sf room fast. It is super quiet on low cool, average on high cool. You only need this setting to bring the humidity down, then we switch to the lower setting. Can watch TV and talk without too much noise! Very happy, outstanding Frigidaire quality.

The AC is compact and works well! I've had no issues with it and have been using it to heat my medium-sized bedroom in 95+ degree heat all summer. Only downside is that it's not the most energy efficient, but for the price it's hard to beat it.

This is our second one. The first one from some 10 years ago now, is still going strong! Florida is hot so this new one is helping in a back bedroom. No lights to disturb sleeping. Easy to control. Pretty quiet on low. Multiple ways to direct air. The fan mode helps in the cooler months.

The 5,000 BTU Window-Mounted Room Air Conditioner works really well. I was deciding between this (the manual) version and the digital version. I chose the manual version because it was a few dollars cheaper and I think it works fine. It keeps my living room/kitchen cool. In 90-100 degree weather the low cool mode keeps the room at 72-77. When the weather is 80-90 it keeps it much cooler. If it continues to cool I will get another next summer for my bedroom.

I bought this Frigidaire 5,000 BTU air conditioner for our spare bedroom, about 8x10. It fit nicely in the window and it cools it very quickly. In fact, when our daughter stays here she turns it on for awhile then just uses the fan because it does cool the room so quickly. It's also quiet and it's a good looking unit. We chose the Frigidaire over other brands competitively priced because of the Frigidaire reliability reputation. We bought a Frigidaire refrigerator about 8 months ago and we're also very happy with it.

We have the previous model to this one, it looks the same. Always getting too much water in the drip pan and ruined our floor. There is no where for the water to go except in the house. Cleaned it out this year and now working terrible, continuing to now spray water in through the vent and leaking out the right side. Installed correctly. Don't have this problem with outr GE one. Do not buy.
